lyrics
There was a time when I was too scared to call upon you
I had a weight around my neck and I was dying from it
Thought I could keep it to the end of this life or maybe the next
But every time I made my mind up to try to say it
The fear of losing you would rise up and rearrange it
Trying to bury this secret gave me a grave of my own
I really wish I had patience
I’m tired of chasing this ghost
I really need your forgiveness for me to ever let go
So here comes a confession
I’ve been running so long
It finally feels like a blessing to admit when I’m wrong
Everyday I grab tighter when you say you love me
‘Cause I knew I had a darkness that was coming for me
Thinking what you don’t know can’t hurt you, but you know that ain't true
It’s another situation that you put yourself in
No one can love you if you don’t risk and never tell them
But only truth can pull you out from the pit of hell
How many times can I fall and wake up?
How many times can I change my mind?
How many times can I test your love?
When fate’s on the line it’s so easy to give up
What kind of life is staying stuck?

it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha

Really solid record from start to finish and recorded near Woodstock, NY at Sun Mountain Studios by David Baron (go check out his music too!). Top quality rock record without any unneeded frippery. Check it out! gundy
